The new Korando model offers a longer wheelbase giving the vehicle improved leg and head room for both front and rear seat passengers, as well as an improved rear loading space with 551-litres of storage when the rear seats are up and 1,248-litres with the rear seats folded.
The diesel makes more sense for high mileage use. Thankfully with the addition of an AdBlue tank the engine from the SsangYong should have a few years grace before being demonised. The auto diesel Korando can tow up to 2 tonnes with the other versions capable of 1.5 tonnes.
The upgraded Korando SUV also offers an enhanced line up of updated tech features, notably the Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS) which is operated through a camera and radar setup to apply brakes automatically in case of emergency.
